Tulips, Painted and Drawn

2008 - $3200
42" x 37" archival inkjet print mounted to Dibond with Plexiglas

The tulips used in this photograph are aptly named ‘Painted Tulips’. The books, brushes and crayons in this composition were those of my wife’s great-aunt, Kathleen Munn, a painter herself. These items are roughly 100 years old. I used the crayons, which still work perfectly, for the drawings done of the tulips. The watercolour palette, symbolizing a vase, adds additional colour to the image.
