The title comes from the quiet, guarding feeling of a mass just sitting there protecting something or somebody. I like the composition for this reason. The X is common to a lot of work that I do in 2d or 3d. In this case, it also seems to me that it is like a cross much like “The Crusaders” armour.

This sculpture is suitable for indoor or outdoor display.
